The IRMCT ruled on June 30 Stanisic and Franko Simatovic, are guilty of aiding and abetting the war crimes committed in Bosnia and Croatia between 1992 and 1995 and sentenced each of them to 12 years in prison.

Stanisic was the former head of Serbia's State Security Service (SDB) and Simatovic former head of the country's Special Operations Unit (JSO). The two were sentenced for aiding and abetting the war crimes committed in Bosnia and Croatia between 1992 and 1995.
Prosecutors now argue that the IRMCT failed to sentence the two as members of a joint criminal enterprise with the goal to remove the majority of Bosniaks and Croats from parts of the territories of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. They also say that the court failed to determine that the two shared the intent of the criminal enterprise.
The two should, according to prosecutors, receive longer prison sentences as members of a joint criminal enterprise.
The court ruled that Stanisic and Simatovic are guilty of all the crimes in the indictment, but that they did not plan them and that they did not take place on their orders.
