Ministries of internal affairs of Serbia and Republika Srpska, Bosnia's Serb-majority region, held a joint tactical exercise 'System 2021' on the Bosnia-Serbia border on Friday, as a part of the major exercise that is simultaneously held at more than 50 locations across Serbia with some 8,000 participants involved.
Republika Srpska took part with 50 members of its Civil Protection Agency, as well as the members of the Helicopter Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Red Cross of Republika Srpska.
“I am thankful that the exercise demonstrated that there can be no and should be no border between the Serbs, and that we are here for each other if and whenever needed,” said Serbian Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, who assessed the exercise as “very good.”
RS Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic, RS Interior Minister Dragan Lukac and RS Police Administration Director Sinisa Kostresevic attended the event, which took place in the eastern Bosnian town of Zvornik, on the Drina river.
