Sanin Bogunic has been elected as the new president of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (VSTV) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, securing 11 votes from council members. Pročitaj više

Born in 1977 in Gorazde, Bogunic graduated from the Sarajevo University Faculty of Law in 2002 and passed the bar exam in 2004. He earned a master’s degree in 2012, focusing on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s electoral system.

His career in the judiciary began in 2002, leading to his appointment as a prosecutor at the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office in 2008. From 2015 to 2018, he headed the department for economic crime and corruption. He has also worked as a consultant for the VSTV and USAID and participated in judicial education programs, including a US State Department-funded study visit in 2016.

Bogunic was elected to the VSTV in 2021 by prosecutors from the Federation of BiH and has now taken on the role of its president.
