During searches conducted in the Stari Grad area, authorities discovered more than 100 kilograms of illegal drugs, along with a substantial cache of firearms and ammunition.
The confiscated substances include over two kilograms of cocaine, more than four kilograms of speed, over 80 kilograms of marijuana, approximately 26,000 ecstasy tablets (weighing around 13.5 kg), more than 30 litres of amphetamine oil, as well as two rifles, five handguns, two silencers, and over 400 rounds of ammunition of various calibres.
A suspect, identified as H.M. (born in 1978) from Sarajevo, was taken into custody on suspicion of committing multiple criminal offences, including Unauthorized Production and Distribution of Narcotic Drugs, Illegal Possession of Firearms or Explosive Materials, and an offence under Article 74 of the Sarajevo Canton Law on Narcotics.
The estimated market value of the seized drugs exceeds one million Bosnian marks (€500,000).
Following a criminal investigation, the 47-year-old suspect will be handed over to the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office for further legal proceedings.
Sarajevo police officials have stated that the investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue their intensive efforts to combat drug-related crime in the region.
