The most polluted city this morning is Lahore in Pakistan, with a pollution index of 226, followed by Delhi in India with an index of 201. Belgrade is in fourth place with 170.

The air quality index in Sarajevo at the time of writing is 176, with a concentration of PM2.5 particles that is 17.8 times the WHO's annual air quality guideline value.

Citizens are advised in these situations to wear masks outdoors, run an air purifier in their homes, close the windows to avoid dirty outdoor air and avoid outdoor exercises.
