A session of the SDA Presidency was held today in Sarajevo, followed by a press conference from the party's president, Bakir Izetbegovic.

Izetbegovic used this opportunity to draw attention to the adoption of the Declaration from the All-Serb Assembly, which he claims aims to destabilize Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

“I will now focus on the Declaration adopted at the Assembly because I do not want other topics to dilute the attack on the territorial integrity of BiH. This is a continuation of the Greater Serbia policy aimed at destabilizing BiH and gradually annexing its parts to Serbia,” said Izetbegovic, adding:

“This involves the realization of plans from the SANU Memorandum and creating preconditions for the secession of RS from BiH. The preamble is based on falsehoods, on the incorrect interpretation of the Dayton Peace Agreement. The essence of the Dayton Agreement is falsely presented, and the RS entity is wrongly treated, as well as the interpretation of the UN Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide.”

Izetbegovic stated that rights are being given to Serbia that it does not have according to the Dayton Agreement.

“The Assembly's conclusions advocate for the establishment of para-state systems in Serbia and the RS entity. The Declaration attempts to give Serbia rights that it does not have under the Dayton Agreement. Serbia has an obligation to respect the state of BiH and never again engage in historical mistakes that led to suffering and epic destruction.”

He claimed that Serbia's adoption of the Declaration is an aggressive interference in the internal affairs of BiH.

“We are witnessing another attempt to impose Serbian symbols and anthems in the RS entity as if others do not exist there. Serbia has aggressively interfered in the internal affairs of BiH with this Declaration. Positions are being taken on entity holidays as if there are no other peoples and citizens in the RS entity, and as if they do not have the same rights. New projects on BiH property are being announced without the consent of BiH institutions. RS is given the right to activate all competencies, and it is worth noting that the Constitution Annex 4 Article states that all necessary competencies for the functioning of BiH will be transferred to the state level. This is an obligation.”

“Decisions of the Hague Tribunal are being challenged again, and the decisions of the UN General Assembly are being attacked. Cooperation between the security systems of RS and Serbia is being worked on as if BiH does not exist,” Izetbegovic said.

Finally, he announced the conclusions adopted by the SDA at today's session.

“We have adopted several conclusions; we call on the PIC and the Dayton witnesses to urgently stop the activities of Serbia and the RS entity. This undermines peace in the Balkans. We demand the introduction of sanctions for Serbian officials who initiate these policies. We have asked the OHR to prepare a set of decisions to prevent the upcoming blockades. We demand to prevent changes in street names in Srebrenica. We call on all BiH parties to unite in resisting attacks on BiH. We will use all legal mechanisms, appeals, wherever there is a basis for it.”
