Search and rescue efforts continue in Buturovic Polje following floods

In Buturovic Polje near Konjic, multiple rescue teams are searching the wider area of Jablanica Lake using boats in an effort to find the body of a person reported missing on October 4 during the catastrophic floods, the Federal Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) reported.

In addition, work is being done to clear the Seoncica Riverbed using heavy machinery.

The City Civil Protection Headquarters of Konjic is continuously coordinating actions to protect and rescue people and material goods in areas affected by the natural disaster, providing assistance to the endangered population. All available resources are engaged in the protection and rescue efforts.

Throughout the day, rescue teams have continued to work on clearing debris in Donja Jablanica. They are working to clear roadways and structures in the flood-affected areas.

The FBiH Road Directorate, along with its planning and contracting firms, is maintaining the main roads M-17, M-17-5, and M-16-2.

Food and medicine are being delivered to residents in the municipality.

Recovery activities are also ongoing in the flood-hit areas of Fojnica, Kresevo, and Kiseljak.
