Members of the Mostar Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) received a report regarding an accident that occurred on the "Heart of Velez" via ferrata in the late afternoon on Saturday.

A citizen of Serbia P.N. (32) died during an accident on Saturday, N1 learned from the Operational Center of Civil Protection Administration of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.

The deceased's body was taken over by the GSS of the Republika Srpska.

Milan Novitovic, the director of the RS Civil Protection Administration, told Srna news agency that the body was handed over to the teams of the GSS “Jahorina” and “Trebinje”, as well as the Nevesinje Police Station, and that it will be transferred by helicopter.

Late Saturday afternoon, members of Mostar GSS received a report about an accident that occurred on the “Heart of Velez” via ferrata. Immediately after the information, the GSS sent a team to the field, while other GSS stations from the surrounding area were put on standby.
