“Being abstained on the issue of the membership of so-called Republic of Kosovo in the Council of Europe, that means the abstaining from territorial integrity of an internationally recognised state. I don't think this is in interest of BiH, I don't understand it, but this is an internal matter of BiH so I am leaving it to be resolved within BiH. But the stance of BiH is completely clear, I was expecting as the head of the Government of Serbia a clear vote – a vote against,” she said.

Speaking about her meeting with her Bosnian counterpart Borjana Kristo on the sidelines of the Mostar Business International Fair, she said she initiated talks on energy projects but also a joint session of the governments of the two countries.

“Today we talked about how to resume that practice. I initiated talks on energy projects because I think BiH has a lot of potential and that we can use that together. And I don't think only BiH and Serbia but that everyone in the region gets involved, because any such project has a cross-border effect,” said Brnabic.

According to the press release issued by Bosnian Council of Ministers, the two officials assessed that cooperation between the two countries is at a high level especially in the sectors of trade exchange and tourism, but that there is a lot of room for improvement.

Chairwoman Kristo thanked her Serbian counterpart for the support that Serbia is continuously providing to local communities at the entity level and the state level in BiH through construction of local infrastructure, schools, kindergartens and healthcare institutions.

Brnabic told Kristo that BiH has a friend in Serbia and that it will be like that in the future, adding that she will advocate further cooperation in various projects for the benefit of all citizens.

She also said Serbia respects Bosnia's territorial integrity and is open to development of good neighbourly relations.
