From there, participants will embark on a silent march in remembrance of all women who have suffered similar fates. Pročitaj više
“Stop killing our daughters. A silent march for all the Inelas,” reads the poster promoting the event.
The brutal case has sent shockwaves across Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. Police officers discovered the bodies of Inela and her son in their family apartment in Kalesija on Thursday evening. Since then, authorities have been searching for Emir Selimovic, Inela's husband and the father of the boy, who is the primary suspect in the double murder.

The exact time of the killings remains unclear, but it is believed they occurred two days ago, as the boy was last seen outside with his friends on that day. Concern arose when he failed to respond to messages from his friends, and Inela did not show up for work. The autopsy is expected to provide further details, including the cause of death, as preliminary reports suggest they may have been suffocated.
The motive for the crime is still unknown. Shocked neighbours and local residents report that there were no prior indications of domestic violence in the household, nor had Selimovic ever been reported for abuse. No arguments or disputes between the couple had been publicly noted.
It is known that Inela and Emir were in the process of divorce but continued living together as the apartment was jointly owned.
The young boy was widely praised by those who knew him—described as well-mannered, polite, and a promising young footballer who had recently joined a local club.
A large-scale manhunt for Emir Selimovic is currently underway, as he has been on the run since the killings. Police efforts are being supported by colleagues from Republika Srpska, as his last known location was traced to Banja Luka.
Multiple security and law enforcement agencies are involved in the search to swiftly apprehend the suspect and restore a sense of safety to the community, which has been gripped by fear since the tragic news broke.
