Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) was informed on Tuesday afternoon that the situation at the fire site in the Hranisava - Bjelasnica has worsened.

The Municipal Operational Civil Protection Center, Hadzici received an emergency report on the situation at the fire site on Mount Bjelasnica, in which it was stated that the spread of the fire occurred beyond the prepared fire prevention line, posing a great danger of spreading to the large forest area of ​​the Hranisava peaks, on the north-eastern side of the mountain.

Considering that the employees of the public enterprise “Sarajevo-suma” ran out of water to extinguish the fire, the Municipal Civil Protection Service of Hadzici requested the urgent engagement of the helicopter of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina to extinguish the fire on the peaks of mount Bjelasnica, in order to prevent further spread of the fire and causing great material damage to the forest.
