Tourism in BiH sees mixed results in November

Bosnia and Herzegovina welcomed 124,899 tourists in November 2024, marking a 31.5% drop from October but a 17.6% rise compared to November 2023.

Visitors logged 248,221 overnight stays, down 29.7% from the previous month but up 18.7% year-on-year, according to the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

Domestic tourists accounted for 35.6% of all overnight stays, while foreign visitors made up 64.4%. The number of domestic overnight stays fell by 11.9% from October but increased by 12.9% compared to November 2023. Foreign overnight stays dropped 36.8% month-on-month but rose by 22.1% year-on-year.

Among foreign tourists, the largest share of overnight stays came from Croatia (23.9%), followed by Serbia (11.8%), Turkey (10.7%), Slovenia (7.6%), China (4.4%), Montenegro (4.0%), and Italy and Germany (3.2% each). These countries collectively accounted for 68.8% of all foreign overnight stays, while visitors from other nations made up 31.2%.
