Officers of the FBiH Police Administration (FUP) arrested a Turkish citizen, identified by the initials S.A. (born in 1986), on charges of human smuggling, under the orders of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The arrest is part of the ongoing operation "Liberterra II."

S.A. is suspected of organizing the illegal transport of 11 Syrian nationals, facilitating their illegal crossing of the border on September 19 near Catrnja, close to the Bosnia and Herzegovina–Croatia border. He also faces charges related to “Offering Bribes and Other Forms of Benefits.”

After processing at the FBiH Police Administration, S.A. will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina for further legal proceedings, FUP announced.
