Bosnian Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic met UK special envoy for the Western Balkans Stuart Peach who is paying the first visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina after the appointment last month.
Turkovic informed the British diplomat about the current situation in the country, stressing that current blockade of the central institutions and anti-constitutional activities inflict enormous damage to all citizens and to the progress of the country on its path to European Union.
She also emphasised the importance of engaging all parliamentary parties and other interested actors into talks on electoral reform, in order to ensure equal rights to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Peach reaffirmed the support to the Office of the High Representative and announced a close cooperation with Christian Schmidt, the international peace envoy in BiH.
He said the UK is willing to provide support to the entire region, which is struggling with various issues.
Razgovarala sa specijalnim izaslanikom 🇬🇧 za Zapadni Balkan Stuartom Peachom. Istakla sam da trenutna blokada institucija 🇧🇦 i posljednje antiustavne aktivnosti, nanose ogromnu štetu svim građanima i napretku naše zemlje ka EU, te prijete destabilizaciji cijelog regiona. pic.twitter.com/OOuX6nSOt1
