Bosnia and Herzegovina's Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdic discussed Kosovo's sanctions against Bosnia with the Kosovo's Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj. The two also spoke of bilateral and regional issues.
Zvizdic said that peace and stability in the Western Balkans are Bosnia's permanent goals and that Bosnia will welcome and support any dialogue between the official Belgrade and Pristina, in solving their burning issues. He added that the basic principle of Bosnia's foreign policy is to solve all the regional issues though dialogue, with mutual respect of all the sides involved.
The two discussed the improvement of economic relations between Bosnia and Kosovo, but also the sanctions which Kosovo plans to introduce against Bosnia. The sanctions are related to the import of milk and dairy products from Bosnia to Kosovo.
The two agreed to prolong the decisions on sanctions until the meeting of the competent ministry representatives from both sides. The meeting should be held next week, when the final decision should be made in accordance with the best practice.
Zvizdic said that the countries of the region should turn to strengthening friendly relations and building of transport, energy and digital infrastructure, and systemically adopt the EU standards, for the sake of future generations.
