The famous Swedish DJ Avicii died in Oman at the age of 28, BBC reports.
His representative released a statement: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time.”
Avicii was a pioneer of the contemporary musical genre EDM (Electronic Dance Movement). He is one of the few DJs whose tours sold out arenas all over the world. He won two MTV Awards, one Billboard, and he was twice nominated for a Grammy.
His greatest hit is “Levels”, and he collaborated with the biggest stars in the music industry, such as David Guetta and Rita Ora.
