Sarajevo’s Kids Festival is shutting down after 15 years of successful work due to lack of funding.

“The real reason is the lack of political will, or more precisely the constant will not to support the Festival. The denial which can be defined as the lack of any recognition is the reason for the shutting down of the Kids Festival in Sarajevo,” said Susanne Prahl, Director of the Kids Festival.

More than 40,000 children from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina took part in the ‘Kids Fest.’ The Festival’s diverse program ranging from workshops, plays, films to education, will no longer be part of Bosnia.

This great international project has its very successful platform in Italy and Tunisia, where it continues to work unhindered.
