The Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazovic offered the Islamic Community’s urgent assistance in the amount of BAM 100,000 (around EUR 50,000) for the migrants in Bosnia.

During the meeting with representatives of the non-governmental organisations (NGO) providing help to migrants and human trafficking victims in Bosnia, the interlocutors spoke about the migrant crisis in Bosnia and ways in which the NGOs can help these people in accordance with the laws on Bosnia.

The Islamic Community will provide BAM 50,000 (around EUR 25,000) in food supplies and BAM 50,000 in medicine and medical supplies. This aid will be realized in the Krajina region and the Sarajevo Canton via the Red Cross, the Muslim charity organisation Merhamet and the Medical Association BIMA, sad the Islamic Community in Bosnia.
