The Sarajevo Canton Interior Ministry has confirmed it approved the request for the May 20 Union of European Turkish Democrats gathering in a Sarajevo sports hall, where Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be speaking.
Between 10.000 and 15.000 attendees are registered, Ministry speaker Suvada Kuldija told the Srna news agency.
Local and international interest for the event is high, as 94 percent of hotel rooms in the capital are booked for the day of the gathering.
Erdogan is to also meet with Bosniak member of the Bosnia’s tripartite presidency, Bakir Izetbegovic, and other government representatives.
