Journalist Stefan Cvetkovic’s mother said he still has not come home to Bela Crkva, but that he called home and said he was fine.
She said he was probably going to see his son who studies in Belgrade. She added she has no more information at this time and that journalists should call later.
Stefan Cvetkovic who went missing on Wednesday night was found alive and unhurt and was taken to a local police station in the northern town of Bela Crkva, Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic told a news conference, Friday afternoon.
Public Prosecutor Tihomir Knezevic from the northern town of Vrsac said late on Friday that the journalist gave a statement “which may be considered as an abduction report.”
“For now, he (Cvetkovic) is not suspected of anything, but is treated as a victim,” Knezevic said, adding the details would be available later but did not specify when.
