Numerous world media like the Washington Post, New York Times, ABS News, Independent Ireland, reported on the death of Hatidza Mehmedovic, the Head of the “Mothers of Srebrenica” Association.
The New York Times recalled that her husband, two of her sons and a brother were among the 8,000 Muslim men and boys who were killed during July 1995.
The Independent Ireland wrote: “The Mothers of Srebrenica group has fought for those responsible for the killings to be brought to justice.”
The Remembering Srebrenica from the UK also remembered Mehmedovic and her bravery:
