Bosnia’s Prime Minister said on Sunday he will be heading to Berlin on Monday to talk with Chancellor Angela Merkel about economy, peace and stability in his country.
“We will be talking about the progress in the implementation of the Government’s priorities in this mandate,” Denis Zvizdic told N1.
“Above all, we will be talking about EU and NATO integration and Bosnia’s economy, with emphasis on economic cooperation with Germany which is an important and political and economic partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he said.
Other issues will also be discussed, Zvizdic added.
“For sure we will talk about peace and stability, the general political stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the further strengthening of the rule of law,” he said.
But Zvizdic will also address the problem of the increased number of migrants that have been arriving this year in Bosnia as they are heading to western Europe. He said Bosnia is grateful for the assistance it is getting from the EU but that he will ask for more.
“Certainly the migrants will be one of the topics in the talks about the security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Zvizdic said.
“We want to be part of an integral European solution,” he said adding that he will express his gratitude for the help his country is receiving from the European Commission and European countries.
“I will present Bosnia and Herzegovina’s real capacities and potentials. I will ask for expert and technical help from European institutions,” Zvizdic said.
