Agrokor’s emergency manager and deputy emergency manager presented the new general manager for Konzum Sarajevo, Nihad Imsirovic, for whom they said he will improve Konzum’s business results in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The previous general manager and acting managers, Tomislav Bagic, Tomislav Primorac and Kristina Alebic will return to Croatia to work in new positions within the Agrokor group.

During yesterday’s Konzum supervisory board session, Nihad Imsirovic was officially presented as company’s general manager. Agrokor’s emergency Manager Fabris Perusko thanked the previous management team and said that with this new appointment, they plan to continue to develop their business results.

Nihad Imsirovic was the former general manager of Klass d.o.o. Sarajevo, one of the leading producers of pastry and confectionery products in the region.

“We expect Nihad Imsirovic to use his vast experience and further improve Konzum's future development,” Perusko said.

Fabris Perusko and his deputy Irena Weber met on Tuesday with the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) entity Prime Minister Fadil Novalic and Bosnia’s Foreign Trade Minister Mirko Sarovic with whom they discussed the situation in Agrokor.

Perusko informed Bosnian officials of the successful settlement on Agrokor’s takeover by its creditors, and that the entire procedure will be completed after the delivery of Croatia’s Supreme Commercial Court on all the appeals, which can be expected by the end of 2018.

When it comes to Konzum’s business operations in Bosnia, Minister Sarovic said the company underwent a successful restructuring, which he assessed as very important for preventing further job loss. He added that Konzum’s total revenues were five percent lower, which was expected.

Prime Minister Novalic concluded that the entire business system of Bosnian companies operating within Agrokor has stabilised and stressed that “the worst is behind us.”

Agrokor’s future business will be based on these three pillars: trade, food industry and agriculture, with a focus on strengthening of company's market share and improving business results. Interlocutors stressed that this is especially important knowing that Agrokor’s annual turnover is EUR 6.5 billion, with 50,000 employees in the countries of the region.
