The European Union diplomacy chief Federica Mogherini told Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci the decision to introduce the 100 percent tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia should be revoked since “it doesn’t contribute to good neighbourly relations," the Beta news agency reported on Wednesday.

A statement from Mogherini’s office said she talked to Thaci on the phone to discuss the latest events concerning the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue on normalisation of relations, under the EU auspices.

They added Mogherini told Thaci that the decision on tariffs further complicated the situation and “doesn’t bring any solution to the problems people have or to Kosovo’s aspirations for its present and future.”

“That measure does not contribute to establishing good neighbourly relations and should be withdrawn,” Mogherini said.

Meanwhile, Serbian news agency Tanjug reported earlier on Wednesday that Mogherini is set to meet the prime ministers of Western Balkans countries this December.

The meeting will take place on December 19, Tanjug reported, and it will focus on regional cooperation, the Euro-integration process in 2018, but also further steps the six countries in the region will take on their path to the European Union membership.
