EYOF presents snowball-shaped medals for its best competitors

The medal is shaped like a snowball and it comes in three colours – gold, silver and bronze. Its designer Saira Imamovic says it posed a challenge to come up with something very original.

“It was hard to translate a technical solution into the product but we put great efforts and it resulted in unique, impressive medals,” said Imamovic.

She hopes her work will be kept as a memory to the greatest sports event in Bosnia after the 1984 Winter Olympic Games. 

The solemn opening and symbolic lighting of the flame of peace will take place on February 9 at the Olympic Stadium Kosevo. The competitions will be held at various locations in two host cities, Sarajevo and Istocno Sarajevo (East Sarajevo) from February 9 through February 16.
