Chinese community in Bosnia marks the beginning of the New Year

“Welcome. Happy New Chinese Year. This date is marked in a family gathering, harmony and happiness. It is our great pleasure to celebrate it here with our friends from Bosnia and Herzegovina,” China's Ambassador Jing Pi told the attendees of the event.

Numerous guests including politicians, public figures, fans of Chinese culture and representatives of the Chinese community in Bosnia attended the ceremony.

Sarajevo was the last in the series of European cities where an Inner Mongolian ensemble performed traditional dances and songs, in honour of new year which is, according to the Chinese zodiac, the year of the pig.
