A fire which broke out in a furniture warehouse and accompanying facilities nearby Sarajevo early Wednesday morning have destroyed larger part of the property belonging to 'Ezam' company, Esad Kahrimanovic, the owner, told N1.
“First I tried together with my workers to put out the fire. If there had been more water in the tank we would have put the fire under control,” said Kahrimanovic adding that by the time the firefighters from nearby towns arrived some 7,000 square metres of the facilities were lost in the large blaze.
30 to 40 percent of manufactured furniture has been destroyed too, he added.
The fire in the Ilijas-based warehouse was reported at 0730 a.m.
According to Sarajevo Canton Fire Brigade, 12 units have been sent to the site and they are still trying to put the blaze under control.
No casualties have been reported.
