The first Bosnian made yacht was presented last week at the International Nautical Fair in Hamburg, Germany.
The 12-metre long luxury yacht is 4.4 metres wide and 5.7 metres tall, capable of accommodating four people. It has a grand saloon capable of accommodating ten persons, for double bedrooms with two auxiliary beds and four bathrooms, making it the most spacious boat in the class in the world.
The Debruis Yachts CEO and Project leader Denis Kraljevic told Fena news agency that they came to the Hamburg ancora Yachtfestival to test the opportunities and market needs.
“The trip wasn't in vain, on the contrary. We achieved everything we wanted – to present ourselves as a serious company in the world of nautical tourism that has quality products,” Kraljevic said.
He argued that Bosnia does not need big companies capable of individually producing complete products, but that joining clusters is the future of Bosnia's economy.
“We are about to organise a ship-building cluster, gathering all interested parties who could be part of complex ship-building projects such as yacht building,” Kraljevic noted, adding they would present the new model at the next year's fair.
The biggest Water Boat Show in Germany Hamburg ancora Yachtfestivala was held in Hamburg May 24-26 in Neustadt, showcasing 200 yachts to all the visitors – one of them being the Bosnian yacht.
