Three former members of special police forces in Bosnia’s Serb-dominated part and an accomplice were on Monday sentenced to a total of 40 years behind bars for robbing in 2015 vehicles belonging to a security agency which transported money for the UniCredit bank.
Vladan Malic, Goran Paras and Aleksandar Popovic were sentenced to ten and a half years in prison, while Oleg Banda was sentenced to eight and a half.
The ex-police officers were ordered to return 540,000 Bosnian Marks (€27,6385), a portion of the stolen 617.000 Bosnian Marks (about €31,5795) which has not been found yet.
Their defence has announced the sentences will be appealed at the Supreme Court.
