Bosnian Serb entity acquires second 'Despot' armored vehicle

“The Government of the RS (Republika Srpska, Bosnia’s Serb-dominated semi-autonomous part) has invested one million Bosnian Marks in the development of that vehicle,” Lukac told reporters.

He said the vehicles were acquired for the protection of police officers and have nothing to do with any sort of war activities.

They will be used for interventions and the fight against terrorism, organised criminal groups and for helping citizens in case of natural disasters.
