An interactive map of war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina was handed over, Monday, after the signing ceremony between OSCE Mission to Bosnia Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec and head of the top judicial institution in the country - the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, Milan Tegeltija, Fena news agency reported.

The map shows every processed war crime with a marker and kicking on the marker the user will get the basic information regarding the court case and its outcome, including an unofficial summary of the indictment.

The interactive map of all the processed war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, committed during the 1992-1995 war,can be viewed here.

The map, whose creation was initiated by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia, is an interactive online tool with up-to-date information on war crimes cases that were completed before the Bosnian judiciary from 2003, the OSCE said.

The map's goal is to increase transparency in the processing of war crimes in Bosnia and to provide a better understanding to the public about the work on war crimes cases.

It also aims to bridge the gap between the judiciary which conducts investigations and processes war crimes cases, on the one hand, and the public which has the need to have access to credible information regarding these cases, on the other.
