OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Harlem Désir on Tuesday expressed concern over the cyber attacks on the N1 TV portal and mobile app in Serbia.
“I am concerned by today’s cyber-attack against the N1 webpage and app in Serbia. Such DDoS attacks against a media outlet are unacceptable and detrimental to media freedom. I call for a swift investigation into this incident,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

The N1 portal and app came under cyber attack twice on Tuesday and was offline for several hours. The first time was in the early morning when a paid DDOS attack from China was launched. The second identical attack came around 2:00 pm.
