Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region has introduced another set of measures to prevent COVID-19 from spreading - as of midnight, March 21, all public transport is banned except for taxis and all shops except for those selling basic necessities will have to temporarily close.
Taxi drivers will have to wear masks, gloves and glasses for protection and must disinfect their vehicle after every trip.
The head of the FBiH Civil Protection Administration, Fahrudin Solak, said at a press conference on Thursday that shops selling food and hygiene products, food for animals, building materials, pharmacies will remain open, as well as gas stations.
Open markets will also be closed, apart from those selling food.
