President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity Milorad Dodik and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met in Belgrade on Thursday to discuss the ongoing political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Following the meeting, Vucic expressed deep concern over the current state of affairs in BiH, stating that Dodik's worries were justified, particularly in light of potential armed conflicts.
"When you hear that someone might be preparing for war, you cannot help but be more than worried," Vucic said.

Vucic reaffirmed Serbia’s stance that dialogue remains the key to resolving disputes but noted that responses from Sarajevo to calls for alleged talks had not been what he had hoped for.

"The last time I was in Banja Luka, I asked the RS leadership and President Dodik to send a request for talks to officials in Sarajevo. The day after that, aside from a barrage of pathological insults, we received nothing else as a response," Vucic stated baselessly.

The Serbian President also commented on the broader political landscape in Europe, suggesting that European powers might attempt to distance themselves from international conflicts, particularly regarding Russia. He warned that such shifts could impact regional stability.

"When someone is in a difficult position, backed into a corner, they take irrational steps," Vucic added, accusing authorities in Sarajevo of seeking to "destroy RS" through their alignment with the European Union.

"There is joy in Sarajevo over all this, and they are trying to use Europe as a Trojan horse for their political projects—the destruction of RS. This has always been fuelled by the emotional narrative of ‘revenge for Srebrenica,’ but the rational goal is, ‘finally, we have a chance to abolish and destroy RS.’ That is one of the reasons why a colour revolution is being carried out in Serbia and why the same actors are behind it. Without a doubt, there has been an attempt to weaken and subjugate Serbia recently to ensure that Serbia could never assist its brothers west of the Drina and RS," Vucic claimed without offering a single proof of his claims.

He emphasized that Serbia respects the Dayton Agreement and Bosnia's territorial integrity but insisted that Belgrade understands what is written in the peace agreement.

"We know how to read the Dayton Agreement, and we do not concern ourselves with its so-called spirit—because once you start talking about the ‘spirit’ of an agreement, it means you have started to deceive and lie," Vucic told the press.

The Serbian President also announced that he would hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday at noon to discuss bilateral relations, including key issues such as gas supply, the oil industry, and political cooperation between Serbia and Russia.
