Bosnians stand with Croatians during this difficult time and Croatia can count on Bosnia’s support, Bosnia’s top officials wrote in messages they sent to their Croatian counterparts following the earthquakes which hit Zagreb on Sunday morning.
“Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including me personally, stand with you and Croatia’s citizens in our thoughts and prayers,” the Chairman of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency, Sefik Dzaferovic, wrote to Croatian President Zoran Milanovic.

“We sincerely hope that there will be no casualties,” he added, expressing hope that a 15-year-old who suffered life-threatening injuries on Sunday morning pulls through.
“Together we are facing an unprecedented challenge which the coronavirus pandemic has put before us. You are now also affected by problems regarding the earthquakes. I believe we will manage to overcome all difficulties and come out of it with more solidarity,” he wrote.
Sarajevo’s mayor, Abdulah Skaka, sent a similar message to his counterpart in Zagreb, Milan Bandic.
“Our thoughts are with you, the citizens of Zagreb and the people of Croatia,” he wrote.
So did the Chairman of Bosnia’s House of Representatives, Denis Zvizdic, who sent telegrams to Croatia’s Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic and Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic.
“Our thoughts are with all of Croatia’s citizens. Please count on the friendly support of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he wrote
