COVID-19 UPDATES: Minister says FBiH has 45 new cases, over 770 in total

19:14 Local health authorities across several Bosnian Cantons and municipalities have meanwhile reported new coronavirus cases - seven in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, three in the Brcko District, two in Sarajevo and one in Cazin.

The mayor of the southern town of Citluk, Marin Radisic, confirmed that he has also tested positive for the coronavirus.

13:30 Of the 451 samples tested in the past 24 hours, 45 were positive for Covid-19, Health Minister of Bosnia's Bosniak Croat Federation (FBiH) entity Vjekoslav Mandic told Anadolu Agency, adding that this entity has had 21 deaths so far.

10:00 Mostar University Hospital tested 99 samples for Covid-19, of which 20 were positive for the disease, officials said.

According to the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton's Civil Protection headquarters, nine cases were from Capljina, seven from Citluk, three from Mostar and one from Jablanica.

9:00 Health Minister of Bosnia's Serb-dominated Republika Srpska (RS) entity Alen Seranic said on Tuesday morning that they confirmed 42 new Covid-19 cases in this entity.

After testing 216 samples, 42 were positive for coronavirus, Seranic said.

“Of this number, 24 were men and 18 women. The patients are mostly middle-aged with the exception of one man and two women who are younger. These are mostly patients coming from family clusters,” Seranic noted.

According to him, 11 persons had died so far in this entity and 56 are considered cured.

So far, there were over 740 confirmed cases in Bosnia. The number of deaths also rose and now it stands at 34. The number of patients who are considered to be cured is now 68.
