COVID-19 UPDATES: Fourtieth death from Covid-19 in Bosnia, 1,083 cases in total

15:30 Bosnia's Brcko District recorded its second Covid-19-related death, District Mayor Sinisa Milic said during a Tuesday press conference.

The patient was a 68-year-old patient who was treated earlier at Tuzla's Heart Centre.

The total death count now stands at 40.

13:00 According to data the Ministry of Civil Affairs published at noon on Tuesday, a total of 1083 people tested positive for the coronavirus across Bosnia and Herzegovina by now and 39 died due to COVID-19.

A total of 12,407 people were tested for the virus across the country.

The Health Minister of Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) region, Vjekoslav Mandic, has previously confirmed that another 24 people tested positive for the coronavirus in FBiH throughout the past 24 hours.

09:00 Another 28 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Bosnia’s Serb-majority region throughout the past 24 hours, bringing the total of people who tested positive since the virus came to Bosnia to more than 1050.

“Throughout the past 24 hours, we analysed a total of 336 samples, which included 28 that were positive for the coronavirus,” said the Health Minister of Republika Srpska (RS), Alen Seranic.

The head of the Sarajevo University Clinical Centre said that three samples sent from the town of Cazin, a northwestern town in the other semi-autonomous Bosnian region, the Federation (FBiH), came out positive for the virus as well.

The COVID-19 death toll in Bosnia is 39.
