The situation in the US Government is now “chaotic” and the country would have responded a lot differently to the coronavirus pandemic if someone other than Donald Trump was leading it, World Affairs Editor at the Guardian, Julian Borger, told N1 on Tuesday.
Borger pointed out that the US President keeps talking about reopening the economy despite the fact that several people within the White House have tested positive for the coronavirus – among them the press secretary of the Vice President.
Borger said that the US President is getting his information regarding the coronavirus pandemic from the wrong sources, including Fox News.
Borger also spoke about leadership in Europe, the role of the United Kingdom in the future and whether the country also plays a role in the Western Balkans, as well as the appeal by Ratko Mladic at the Hague war crimes court and the increasing trend of denying the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide.
