The US Defense Department said that a National Guard soldier deployed in Kosovo died in a non-combat related incident.
The press release said that 20 year old Oregon National Guard “Pfc. Alexander Blake Klass, 20, from Willamina, Oregon, died as the result of a non-combat related incident, July 4, 2020, at Camp Novo Selo, Kosovo”. Klass was deployed to Kosovo as part of a unit supporting Operation Joint Guardian, it said and added that the incident is under investigation.
No details of the incident were released.
