The daily anti-government protest in Belgrade was held at two locations on Monday with protesters first going to the city’s central jail in a show of support for the protesters arrested and sentenced to jail time over the past few days and then moving to the street in front of parliament.

A crowd of several hundred gathered in front of the jail, including several officials of opposition parties, to protest the arrests of protesters and others over the past six days and chant Release Them All and demanding the dismissal of Director of Police Vladimir Rebic. The crowd was addressed by several people, including at least one member of the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences (SANU which has not always taken sides against the authorities) – Dusan Teodorovic.

Two opposition leaders – Bosko Obradovic and Dragan Djilas – were bood by some in the crowd.  

A crowd of several hundred, including some of the people present at the earlier protest, gathered for a seventh evening in front of parliament, stopping traffic but without a visible police presence except for traffic police officers.   Right wing groups stood near the steps to the entrance of parliament as they have on previous nights, shouting slogans.  

Protesters noticed several people with cameras on the nearby Post Office building and shouted Come Down to them.  

Protesters in the southern city of Nis blocked a main street in front of the city assembly building, carrying anti-government banners.
