In the past 24 hours, Slovenia has confirmed 42 new cases of the coronavirus, which is 17 more than on Monday, Slovenia's government informed on Tuesday.
Epidemiologists consider the increased number to have been expected as a larger number of tests were conducted (1,581) in comparison to previous days.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Slovenia a total of 3,232 cases of the infection have been identified, and now there are 546 positive cases, of whom 28 are in hospitals.
Four of those hospitalised patients are in intensive care.
So far 135 people have died from the disease, according to Slovenia's ministry of health.
