Six more people died due to COVID-19 in North Macedonia, and 140 new cases of coronavirus were registered, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

The COVID-19 death toll now stands at 689 and the total number of coronavirus cases so far is 16,557.

There are 2,076 active cases, one person on a ventilator and 43 people on oxygen support. The Public Health Institute said that another 60 patients recovered, bringing the number of recoveries to 13,792.

A total of 1,397 coronavirus tests were performed in the country throughout the past 24 hours and 174,097 so far.
