Over the past 24 hours, 1,034 people have been tested for coronavirus in Slovenia, confirming 75 new cases of the infection, and one COVID-19 patient has died, the Slovenian government said on Monday.

There are 107 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, including 21 who are in intensive care units, and eight patients were discharged from hospital yesterday, the government said on Twitter.

To date, 236,177 coronavirus tests have been performed in Slovenia, confirming a total of 6,573 cases of the coronavirus infection, and there have been 156 deaths.

The number of active cases stands at 2,103, according to the health ministry's data.
