Northern Ireland beat Bosnia and Herzegovina in the playoffs for the European Championship, with Northern Ireland scoring four times during penalty shootouts against Bosnia’s three goals.
Bosnia dominated the first half with striker Rade Krunic scoring the first goal in the 13th minute of the game. But midfielder Niall McGinn tied the score, hitting Bosnia’s net in the 53rd minute.
The teams played a 1-1 draw during the regular 90 minutes.
The following 30 minutes of extra time did not change the result but during penalty shootouts, Liam Boyce shot the winning goal for Northern Ireland.
The match was one of the eight playoff semi-finals in Thursday’s battle for the four remaining spots at Euro 2020.
