Feature film 'Full moon' by Bosnian filmmaker Nermin Hamzagic has been nominated for the European Film Awards 2020 in the category European Discovery 2020 - Prix FIPRESCI.

The film was co-produced by SCCA/pro.ba company and Radio-Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia's national broadcaster. It premiered at the film festival in Cottbus, Germany, last year. The film was awarded Ecumenical Jury Prize and actor Alban Ukaj the Best Actor Award.

The movie tells the story of a policeman whose wife is delivering their child in the hospital while he is on duty in his station. During his night shift, he faces the everyday corruption of the system. By listening to the arrested persons, he changes his attitude wishing to leave to his child another society.

“In a convincing artistic manner, the director succeeds in showing the narrowness of the situation as well as the perspective for hope”, said the jury of the Cottbus Film Festival.

The cast includes some of the most prominent names of Bosnia's cinematography: Alban Ukaj, Izudin Bajrovic, Jasna Diklic, Mediha Musliovic, Boris Ler, Ermin Sijamija and others.
