Two more people passed away due to COVID-19 in Kosovo in the past 24 hours which brings the death toll to 647, Kosovo’s National Health Institute said.

It said that 49 of the 680 people tested since Saturday were positive for the coronavirus and that 53 recovered.

A total of 16,179 of the 74,586 people tested were positive for the virus since the beginning of the epidemic in Kosovo and 14,335 have thus far recovered.

There are currently 1,197 active cases and more than half of those newly infected are from Pristina.
