The mayors of Belgrade and Banja Luka, the administrative centre of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Serb entity Republika Srpska (RS), Zoran Radojcic and Igor Radojicic respectively, signed on Monday charter about the cities twining, describing it as a historic moment.

“Our relations are versatile, traditional and profound in economy, science, culture, sports, but the deepest are those personal, families’ and business’ ties,” Belgrade Mayor said.

His Banja Luka counterpart said the twinning had a special meaning among the Serbs.

“The twinning is maintained, nourished through generations. Banja Luka and RS look at Belgrade and Serbia all the time because Belgrade is our common capital. Whenever we cooperated, our people progressed, while when there were arguments, a third side always benefitted,” Igor Radojcic said.
