Bosnia forms State Border Commission

Bosnian government adopted the decision on the formation of the State Border Commission with a three-year mandate, the announcement said Thursday, adding that the four-member Commission will, among other things, identify the border with neighboring countries and propose its corrections.

The members of the Commission are representatives of state ministries of civil affairs, security and foreign affairs, the Republika Srpska entity Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs, and the Federation entity's Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs.

The Commission is in charge of identifying the border with neighboring countries, drafting proposals for its correction in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, and preparing proposals for interstate agreements and other acts on the border line with neighboring countries.

It will report twice a year to the Council of Ministers as the Bosnian government is officially called.
