Sarajevo Canton's Employment Service asked all retired doctors to contact them due to the growing number of Covid-19 patients. The same reason was behind Bijeljina's call to all unemployed doctors to contact their local employment offices in order to help the medical staff in institutions across the city.
In accordance with the Conclusion of the Government of Sarajevo Canton, the Public Institution “Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton” calls on all retired medics with higher education to contact this public institution. The engagement of retired medics is aimed at overcoming the situation caused by the appearance of the new coronavirus, as an aid to all health care institutions that lack medical staff,” the Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton announced.
Bijeljina Mayor Mico Micic warned that doctors there have been strained for months and that they need all the help they can get.
“Doctors and employees of the Health Center and the hospital have been fighting hard for months to stop the epidemic, and for this we are grateful. However, the situation is such that we need all the doctors we have available in Bijeljina at the Health Center. That is why all doctors of medicine who are on the records of the Employment Bureau will be called to report to the Health Center, in order to get a job,” Mayor Mico Micic, said.
