Over the past 24 hours, 5,991 coronavirus tests have been performed in Slovenia, confirming 1,685 new cases of the infection, and there have been 22 related deaths, the Slovenian government said on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Slovenia reported 2,025 new cases following more tests, and in the last 24 hours, the percentage of positive tests has dropped to 28.13% from 32%.
There have been a total of 41,093 cases of the coronavirus infection in Slovenia since the outbreak, and the death toll is now at 463.
The number of active cases stands at 23,432, and the number of infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days is 1,118.
For the first time there are over 1,000 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 1,025, and 161 of them require intensive care.
